How Can I Keep My Baby Clean Between Baths?

No matter how often you bathe your baby, they seem to have a knack for getting dirty when you aren't near a bathtub or don't have time for a full bath. Whether you're dealing with a diaper blow-out or a spit-up fest, here are a few options for freshening your baby up in a hurry: • A damp washcloth • Baby wipes • Micellar water (like our No Rinse Cleansing Water) When you're packing the diaper bag, be sure to include at least one of the above. Otherwise, you could be stuck cleaning your baby with rough paper towels from a public bathroom. And that's not fun.

How Does No Rinse Cleansing Water Work?

Mustela's No Rinse Cleansing Water harnesses the cleansing power of oil molecules called micelles to attract and gently remove dirt and grime from the skin. Using this product to keep your baby, toddler, or child (or yourself!) clean is simple. Start by pumping a small amount onto a cotton ball or reusable cloth. Then, gently apply it to the skin. That's it there's no need to rinse. You can use No Rinse Cleansing Water: • After eating • Between baths • For on-the-go cleansing • During a diaper change • For moms to remove makeup It can help keep skin clean and smelling great with Mustela's iconic scent.

Is No Rinse Cleansing Water Safe For Newborns?

Not all micellar water is safe for newborns. However, Mustela's No Rinse Cleansing Water has been specially formulated for a baby's delicate skin. We worked with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure this product (and all our others) met the highest safety standards. It's free from harmful chemicals like parabens or phenoxyethanol. How Often Does My Baby Need A Bath?

You want to keep your baby looking (and smelling) fresh, but you're not sure how often they need a bath to make that happen. The advice online ranges from once a week to once a day, and now you're even more confused. The reason for the range is that babies have different skin types. Some require less bathing than others. For example, if your little one has a normal skin type, they'll probably be OK with only two or three baths weekly. But if they have eczema-prone skin, a short, cool bath each day can help prevent flare-ups.

What Is Micellar Water?

Micellar water is water that contains tiny oil molecules called micelles. These act as a magnet for dirt, oil, and other impurities, allowing you to wash without water or loads of scrubbing. This gentle cleanser was invented in France in 1918 and has been used there for decades. It's gaining popularity in the United States as an on-the-go cleanser and makeup remover. However, not all micellar water is the same. Some brands include harsh chemicals in their formulas, so you'll want to read the label carefully before putting anything on your baby's delicate skin.

Favorite product in addition to the body lotion

"I love this product. I use this in between bath days and it keeps my little one’s skin looking and feeling great. I never had an issue with baby acne and I think this is the reason why. Pediatrician has commented multiple times how healthy his skin looks. We use the body lotion as well with the cleansing oil"

No rinse Cleansing water

"I highly recommend this No Rinse Cleansing Water for babies. I found the Mustela products 60+ years ago and began using it on my girls. I used the No Rinse Cleansing Water along with their babe lotion and air spray for their nursery. At that time Mustela sold drawer liner with their signature fragrance. The girls always smelled fresh and clean as did all their clothes. People would ask what I used on them. Their skin was always smooth and healthy looking. I have gifted several main products the No Rinse Cleansing Water, babe lotion and several of the other Mustela products for my grandchildren and now for my great grandchildren. We are a three generation Mustela family. I can honestly say I have not used or gifted all Mustela products but the ones I and my family have used we love."

"I absolutely love this cleansing water! As a private duty pediatric nurse, I use it both personally and for the little one in my care, and it has been fantastic. It's gentle enough to use from head to toe and has never caused a single breakout or any redness. It leaves skin completely clean, soft, and smelling wonderfully fresh. I can't recommend it enough!"

Staple in the diaper bag!

"This product is a game changer. I use this product for a “top and tail” first thing in the morning when I freshen up my little one - especially if a blowout is involved. A little goes a long way when applied to a cotton pad. Since it’s micellar water, it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling at all. It’s truly amazing!"
