The latest studies have revealed that applying an emollient cream on a daily basis starting at birth, in children with a family history of eczema, can reduce the risk of developing the condition by 33%-50%.
DAILY eczema care
Apply Stelatopia® Emollient Cream or Stelatopia® Emollient Balm at least once a day to the whole body to soothe and replenish the skin. When bathing, use mild cleansing products that are fragrance-free, soap-free, and suitable for eczema-prone skin, such as Stelatopia® Cleansing Gel.
ECZEMA FLARE-UPS
When itching becomes more severe and dry or oozing red patches form a physician may prescribe a topical steroid treatment to apply to the skin such as a corticosteroid. When using a topical treatment, it is advised to continue applying an emollient cream to the whole body, making sure to avoid any oozing and especially irritated skin. For optimal care, continue to use cleansing products specifically designed for eczema-prone skin.

Tips for Keeping Eczema-Prone Skin Healthy
Hydration
Wash your hands thoroughly before applying any cream or balm on the body
Be especially gentle when applying cream to minimize irritation and discomfort
Avoid applying emollient cream to oozing or open sores
A pea-size amount of cream or balm is enough to cover an area of the body equivalent in size to the back of one's hand
Bathing
Avoid hot baths or showers. The ideal water temperature is 95-99 F
Do not use washcloths
While bathing, use Stelatopia® Cleansing Oil to neutralize the drying effects of bathing in hard water and help skin lock in moisture
Gently pat skin dry with a cotton towel
Lifestyle
Wear clothes made from non-synthetic fibers such as cotton
Regulate the temperature inside the home so that it stays between 66-68 F
Properly ventilate rooms
Regularly wash blankets and clothing
