Arrived broken, Replacement was dirty/near expired
"I love Mustela products for my child but unfortunately this order was disappointing, starting with how the box arrived - crushed and the tape was partially opened. Upon opening, one of the three bottles I ordered had a broken cap. Not surprising because the items were not very securely wrapped in the box - they were just placed in the box with some paper filling. I reached out to customer service who were very helpful and apologetic and they immediately placed an order for a replacement. Upon receiving the replacement, the bottle was again placed in a box with a little paper filling. This time, the bottle appeared dirty - dirt particles underneath the cap, residue from a peeled off sticker, and an expiration date of less than a year away (manufactured in April 2024, expired in April 2027, I ordered on June 2026). I asked Customer Service if Mustela ships almost-expired products as replacements in order to reduce waste/unsellable inventory and they said no… if ‘no’, then how did this happen? They must have had near expired products laying around somewhere in the warehouse and it was intentionally shipped out. My advice is to just request a refund rather than a replacement if your items arrive damaged. The original bottles I ordered had an expiration date of 2029, so I expected the replacement to have the same date."
