- Nightgown and/or pajamas (should be loose fitting or something that can be completely opened in the front)

- 2 - 4 bras (nursing bras if you plan on nursing)
- Toiletries: toothbrush/toothpaste, soap, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, lotion, comb/brush, lip balm
- Hair band to pull hair back during labor
- A photo to be used as a focal point during labor
- Going home outfit (something loose fitting)
Comfort items for your hospital stay:
- Address/phone book
- Book or magazines
- hard candy to keep lips moist during labor
- Makeup, lipstick
- Soothing music
For your partner/labor coach:
- Insurance card or other important paperwork
- Hospital pre-registration information
- Snacks
- Book or magazine for reading
- Change of clothes and toiletries, if they're allowed to stay overnight
- Money for parking, vending machine, pay phone etc.
- Camera/film
For Baby:
- Rear-facing car seat
- T-shirt, socks, hat
- Going home outfit
- Receiving blanket
- Warm blankets (depending on season)
