Your pregnancy and prenatal care

Introduction

During the nine months of your pregnancy, you will receive a great deal of attention from the medical profession. In general, prenatal care includes seven visits with an obstetrician, a visit with an anesthesiologist and three ultrasounds to ensure that everything goes smoothly during your pregnancy – for both you and your baby. If any complications arise, additional visits will be scheduled. Here's some helpful information explaining what goes on during all those checkups!
